GRAND BLANC PARKS AND RECREATION OFFERINGS:

 

 

4th Annual End-of-the-Summer BBQ  Thursday, August 13th          5:30-6:30pm 

Enjoy a night out with your family and friends at Bicentennial Park Large Pavilion.  Event will feature burgers-n-dogs, chips, refreshments, music, Splash Pad and more…  Come ready to have some fun!  This event is open to children with special needs and families/friends (all ages).  Admission to Splash Pad included with dinner.  We will also be awarding our “Sports-A-Palooza” players with a special award to finish their 8-week season.  Stay after to watch their final game on field #6.

Cost is $1 children (12 & under), $2 adults~covers the cost of food

 

 

KID POWER PROGRAM

A program JUST for kids who have a family member with special needs. KID POWER builds disability awareness and acceptance. It fosters a sense of belonging and pride in kids’ unique talents and those of their family members. Join KID POWER for food, fun and education!

WHO: KID POWER is for GENESEE COUNTY kids ages 7-14 who have a family member with a special need. Each child is welcome to bring a friend.

4th Annual Premier Mentoring Conference

 

Mentor Michigan is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Premier Mentoring Conference.  This year's  mentoring conference will bring approximately 250 mentoring administrators, staff members and volunteers together for networking and professional development opportunities.  This annual event features a variety of workshops, a bookstore, and several opportunities for networking.  

 

This year's conference will be held on November 18, 2009 at the Michigan State University Union.

  

Mentor Michigan is seeking engaging presenters to facilitate educational and professional development workshops and motivate conference attendees.  We are pleased to invite you to submit a workshop proposal.  For more information, please visit www.mentormichigan.org.
